About The Ouze
The Ouze is a growing jewellery brand with a small, dedicated team of two full-time employees. As we relocate to London, we're entering an exciting period of expansion and are looking for a highly organised individual to manage our studio operations. Our new studio is conveniently located near the Barbican, close to our suppliers and casters.The Role
This dynamic role requires balancing the demands of both e-commerce and wholesale calendars, alongside general studio management. We produce two seasonal collections a year, showcased in Paris, in addition to bespoke engagement rings and orders placed through our website. You will collaborate with the team to ensure collections and orders are produced on schedule. You will play a pivotal role in our scaling journey, offering a chance to be part of a fast-growing business with a global presence.This position involves a balance of administrative and creative tasks. You will be responsible for organising and seeing through two seasonal collections annually, sold wholesale to 10 stockists worldwide, with the aim of expanding this number each year while maintaining strong relationships with our key accounts. Your involvement will span research and design development, Paris showroom preparations, and finally, order production and delivery.
We also have a strong and expanding e-commerce channel that requires efficient organisation, timely order fulfilment, customer interaction, and ensuring core styles are kept in stock. Furthermore, there is an opportunity to work on bespoke projects, liaising with customers and arranging private appointments for the creation of engagement and wedding rings.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate with the team to ensure material availability for order across the website, bespoke and wholesale channels.
- Oversee production timelines to ensure delivery deadlines are met.
- Confident in bench and wax work to make orders and new ideas.
- Creating opportunities for marketing, collaboration and events instore
- Manage and track orders via Shopify
- Take on customer inquiries, mocking up designs and working with the designers to sketch and mock up ideas.
- Stock and inventory tracking
- Liaise with stylists and manage samples for press opportunities
- Act as the primary point of contact for customer inquiries and studio appointment scheduling.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a relevant role within the jewellery industry.
- Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop, InDesign, Google Suite, Spreadsheets
- Excellent time management.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Highly organised and punctual.
- Demonstrates strong initiative and work ethic.
- Knowledge of jewellery making, simple bench work, cleaning castings, soldering, resizing etc.
